The Ibuki Kogyo Sound Reception system is mandatory equipment in accordance with the revisions to SOLAS Chap.V effected on 2002. buki SRS is complied with the new regulation to support the maritime safety. Main funciton is to receive external acoustic signals, reproduce and indicate the direction on the bridge. The microphone unit is fully waterproof and durable structure in all weather conditions. SRS100 is combined four microphones in one unit, and the SRS400 is four separate microphones. Both are simple wiring and maintenance-free. The working voltage is DC24V as standard, AC100V and AC220V are available as option with a converter.

An external heading signal from an instrument such as a magnetic compass or a GPS compass can be passed to repeater compasses and other ship equipment for back-up purposes. As a standard function, a built-in monitor detects deviations between the master compass and external sensor heading readings. The restart time can be preset from 1 to 99 hours.
