AlphaDynaPos

The (redundant) AlphaDynaPos DP Dynamic Positioning System automatically controls a vessel's heading and position by activating thrusters based upon data as received from position reference systems, gyrocompasses, wind sensors and motion reference units. The Auto Track mode allows the ship to move along a pre-defined track at low speed as defined by the operator. The AlphaDynaPos Joystick Control System (JC) is a basic version of the AlphaDynaPos DP system and allows the operator to automatically control the heading and manually position the vessel based upon data as received from gyrocompasses and wind sensors. The Alphadynapos DP and JC systems are suited for e.g. supply vessels, tug boats, dredgers, cable and pipe laying vessels, FPSO’s, heavy lift vessels and mega-yachts in full accordance with classification and IMO rules. The AlphaDynaPos is type approved according to Class 1, 2 and 3 in full accordance with classification and IMO rules.

CYSCAN Sensor

The CyScan system is a local position reference sensor for marine Dynamic Positioning (DP) applications. It measures the range and bearing of retro-reflective targets allowing the DP system to maintain the vessel’s position and heading relative to the target structure of another vessel. The latest in DP laser technology, the CyScan sensor can be used as a primary reference or a complementary addition to a microwave sensor or DGPS. With an optional operating temperature of -40ºC, CyScan is also available as an Extreme Low Temperature (XT) variant for Ice and Arctic operations.

RADASCAN Sensor

While retaining RadaScan technology's precision and all weather capabilities, the RadaScan View system accurately measures the range and bearing of up to 4 intelligent microwave targets called responders, allowing for the calculation of vessel position and heading. The system enables automated approach and station keeping relative to a rig or platform, or to another vessel. With the supplementary View Dashboard, DP Operators can see responders in relation to the structure on a single screen. By introducing the View feature to RadaScan technology, DP Operators can achieve a higher level of operational safety for these applications, more choice and higher levels of redundancy. Current position references offer a limited view of the ‘real world’ environment. As today’s operations become more and more complex, providing situational awareness to an operator can help prevent an incident by providing early warning, and allowing more time to correct a potential issue. Building on Guidance Marine's proven pedigree, the RadaScan View system enhances traditional microwave DP reference sensors to provide additional situational awareness directly at the DP Operators’ station.
