OMC-118 Ultrasonic

The OMC-118 Ultrasonic Wind Sensor is used in case when an ultrasonic wind sensor is required. It is a ‘commercial off the shelf sensor’, Observator Instruments has supplied this stainless steel instrument to several navies. Other applications where Observator applied this sensor are in general marine and offshore applications, as well as in several tunnels. The OMC-118 can be connected to all Obsermet equipment like data loggers, signal conditioning units and displays using the NMEA or polar format. The OMC-118, which has a standard 0..65 m/s, is optionally also available in a 0..75 m/s range.

OMC-118 I.S – Ultrasonic I.S

This intrinsically safe wind sensor is approved to EEx ia IIC T5 for use in hazardous areas. This industrial anemometer will monitor wind speeds of 0-75m/s and is particularly suited to offshore oil platform applications. With a low start-up speed (0.01 m/s) and no moving parts, the OMC-118 Intrinsically Safe Anemometer exhibits significant benefits over standard three cup anemometers. Approved to EEx ia IIC T5, this intrinsically safe anemometer is ideal for use in hazardous areas, requiring no calibration or maintenance.

OMC-150/158-2 (ATEX)

The OMC-150 is an intrinsically safe, combined wind speed and direction sensor, based on the cup and vane principle. A complete wind set consists, besides this sensor, of an Eex junction box which is placed nearby the sensor OMC-156, and a Zener barrier interface box OMC-158-2. Using a sin/cos potentiometer, wind direction is measured without a dead-band, while speed is measured using a proximately switch and a code cap. The unit is made from stainless steel and comes with a mounting arm, which can be clamped to a mast using two U-Bolts.

OMC-160 Mechanical

The OMC-160 wind sensor is a combined wind speed and direction sensor, based on the cup and vane principle. It is made from the highest quality stainless steel materials and internal non-contact measuring devices. This sensor has a long life span, having the highest accuracies within both the low range, as well as the high range wind speeds. This sensor is commonly used within the shipping and offshore industry, but can also be found on airfields, container terminals, harbors, along highways and on bridges.

JAX-9B

The JAX-9B weather facsimile receiver is a very compact and lightweight solution, incorporating a set of enhanced features that allows for flexible operation. The received fax broadcasts are recorded on thermal recording paper in a solid-state recording environment, using a thermal head. JRC integrated an automatic frequency selection, allowing for optimized receiving. The JAX-9B can receive in four different modes. All operations can be remotely controlled to automatically start up, set parameters, receiving images, feed paper, and stop by remote signals from the broadcasting stations. Only halftone recording is manually controlled. You can manually set the index of co-operation (IOC), scanning speed, and the halftone recording. The JAX-9B automatically records the stops in this mode. This is an extensive function of the automatic recording mode. The JAX-9B can manually record while neither in automatic or manual recording mode, also while broadcasting is in progress. Phasing is done manually. It also adapts to a unique system to terminate phase matching instantaneously.

AlphaBinnacle M

The AlphaBinnacle M type is for commercial vessel under 150 GT, fishing vessel and workboats under 35 meter. Professional smaller binnacle case for table top or deck mount applications for use with magnetic compass. Suitable for use with Alphatron Marine and other Transmitting Magnetic compass (TMC) equipment to operate repeaters, off-course alarms and outputs to navigation equipment including gyro back up. The AlphaBinnacle with magnetic compass is Type approved according to the European Marine Equipment Directive (MED), Chinese Classification Society and other Maritime Authorities. The AlphaBinnacle can be used with a simple periscope assembly which is easy to install or removed. Due to the improved water tightness around deck/ periscope area, it reduce installation work for a shipyard. It can also be used as a standalone compass or even with an electronic device (TMC) in combination with repeaters like the AlphaLine MF Compass Repeater. The AlphaBinnacle is a lightweight GRP product which guards the Class A compass. The GRP will not influence the magnetic field of the compass. The AlphaBinnacle will be delivered with the necessary deviation correctors (including; B, C, D and H).

OMC-116 Ultrasonic

Marine meteorological observations require devices designed to withstand the hardest environmental conditions, such as heavy vibrations, sea spray, extreme colds, chemical particles etc. With a major track record the marine and offshore markets are the home markets for Observator’s meteorological product line. The OMC-116 is an ultrasonic wind sensor, based on the time of flight theory. The unit is provided with industrial standard NMEA0183 output and can optionally be provided with 4.20 mA signals. The robust design of stainless steel of marine grade aluminium, as well the standard available heating, makes this unit ideal for the hardest environments. The standard bracket with integrated junction box makes this unit easy to install.

JLN-650

The new JLN-650 Doppler current meter continues the tradition of enhanced acquisition of speed and tidal current data, but now with a newly designed transducer and the integration of an extensive range of function and features. You can view the current direction and speed in up to 100 layers with the twist mode. With this advanced feature, an operator is able to anticipate current speed and direction, enhancing the timing on when to deploy the nets in the water. Naturally, the twist display mode is accompanied with a wide range of information, such as current speed range, depth range, temperature and so on. You can view fish echoes in four-directions, two-directions ahead, or in any one direction, allowing for easy fish tracking. Just as any typical fish finder, you can set the display to the type of fish or sea conditions simply by adjusting the sensitivity.
